Christine Corau

Christine Corau is a British singer-songwriter who started from the humble beginnings of writing folk-based music on guitar. She has, more recently, been energised by the work she completed during her Masters degree in songwriting, which has encouraged her to embark on a new musical journey...

Inspired by Kate Bush over the years, Christine has evolved her music through the use of production as a principal aspect of her songwriting, resulting in her current musical style now leaning towards a blend of electronic, synth-based, adult-orientated rock and art pop, while still containing the foundations of her folk roots.

Christine is currently in the process of writing and producing her second album, having released her debut album, ‘Three Scarlet Words,’ in 2024.

Originally a classical guitarist, Christine is also an accomplished vocal coach and singing teacher and, while the guitar has always been her preferred instrument, it is the versatility of the voice that Christine has constantly been drawn to. As a result, her use of intricate harmonies and emotional storytelling remains at the heart of all of her songs, while her new-found production skills enable her to entwine these into multi-instrumental soundscapes.

While Christine is keen to share her unique sound, she also believes in the multifaceted power of music and its ability to heal both physically and emotionally. Because of this, her goal is to donate a proportion of the profits from her music to charities and worthy causes, in the simple hope that she can take something she loves doing to help others.
